Dating in thirties
Suddenly, there’s all this pressure to find someone and you really start to psych yourself out. It’s unfair, but this pressure is more of a reality for women in our current society — and suddenly you feel the need to explain “why” you’re “still” single, instead of being able to live your life on your own terms. At least, the cowards do, or the ones who falsely assume that women in their late thirties are no longer fertile. If a man is hell-bent on someone thirty and younger, screw him. If you think your swimmers are as sprightly at forty as they were at twenty-five, they're not. Age is a number, but sometimes age is the number that qualifies who gets a date and who doesn't. I love my men folk, but there are certain pitfalls a woman faces while dating in her late thirties. Matchmaking sites can let you be specific about who you’re looking for and what kind of relationship you’re seeking. It’s okay to desire marriage and a family, but you can’t go on a date accessorized with the desperate pressure to settle down.More important than getting married or raising children is being with the right person. Right Now, and don’t scare off a great gal with your impatience. With age comes wisdom; you’ve learned from past mistakes and now know what you need in a relationship and what you have to offer.
But here are some harsh realities of dating in your late thirties that you need to know, if you don't already.
Again, the right guy will love you whether you're eighty or eighteen. You're tired of the comments from the peanut gallery and it feels like you're giving out interviews on first dates rather than going for the love connection.
You try to have fun while dating, but it's getting old. Dating in your late thirties means you're swimming in a dating pool in which quite a few of the men have chips on their shoulders after divorces, or an unwanted lengthy bachelorhood.
You can’t control every circumstance surrounding “meeting the one,” but you can control how you spend your time.
Live life to the fullest and pursue the kind of life you want to be living. If you thought meeting people was tough in your 20s, you’re likely to find dating after 30 to be even trickier.
Good riddance to those p*ssies, but it still can make the dating landscape very barren and narrow.
